Picture Frame Fencing

If you’re looking for a fence that will delight not only you, but your neighbors as well. A Picture Frame Fence is one step above the traditional Good Neighbor Fence in it’s neighbor pleasing skills. The same mirror-image design, but this time done with full privacy and added trim boards, now gives you a matching fence without sneaky weeds or nosy neighbors peeking through.

With picture frame fencing, cedar boards are mounted side by side with a minimal gap to allow for expansion and contraction, or overlapped for a unique look. Rails are located at the top and bottom of the fence, with horizontal 1×4’s placed at the top and bottom to complete the ‘Picture Frame’ aesthetic.

Design choices and accents work great on this design, so whether it’s added post caps, clever use of stain, or a 2×6 top cap for squirrels to happily traverse, the possibilities are endless.
