Celebrating the Heart of Rick’s This Giving Tuesday

Every year, Giving Tuesday reminds us of something we’ve known since the beginning: what we build goes far beyond fences, decks, and patio covers. It’s about strengthening the connections that make our communities whole.
For more than 45 years, Rick’s Custom Fencing & Decking has been proud to serve the Northwest—not only by building beautiful spaces, but by helping build hope. And thanks to the generosity of our employees, customers, and vendor partners, 2025 has been one of our most meaningful years yet for giving back.
Building Hope Beyond the Holidays
In 2025, our teams also rallied behind causes that mirror Rick’s values: craftsmanship, care, and community.
- Through Make-A-Wish Oregon, Rick’s crews helped create safe outdoor spaces for children with critical illnesses—places to play, rest, and dream.
- Our partnership with Michelle’s Love helped provide a new fence and deck for a family navigating cancer treatment.
- We continued to support WeShine PDX micro-villages with fencing materials and volunteer hours, helping give unhoused neighbors secure, dignified spaces to rebuild.
- And during the summer, Rick’s sponsored the Maurice Lucas Foundation Golf Invitational “Chipping Challenge”—raising funds for youth mentorship and education programs that change lives.

Together, we can make this Giving Tuesday — and every day that follows — a season of compassion and connection across all our Northwest communities.
The 10th Annual Holiday Hope Toy Drive
This year marks a full decade of Holiday Hope—our companywide Toy Drive supporting children and families across Oregon and Washington.
From Hillsboro to Tri-Cities, every Rick’s store has been a drop-off site, collecting new, unwrapped toys, books, and games for kids ages 2–18.
Each location partners with a local organization making a real difference in its community:
Hillsboro & Gresham
Supporting early childhood programs and families facing housing insecurity.
Tri-Cities
Offering shelter, meals, and compassion to families in transition.
