Rick's Proudly Supports Make-A-Wish Oregon's Million Miles Match Campaign

Giving back has always been important to the team at Rick’s, which is why we’re proud to support Make-A-Wish Oregon’s Million Miles Match Campaign alongside KGW and Alaska Airlines.

The campaign provides donated miles to Make-A-Wish Oregon, helping children facing critical illnesses and their families travel to destinations that make life-changing wishes possible.

Because more than 70% of wishes involve travel, donated miles play an important role in turning those experiences into reality. Once donated, miles never expire and continue helping grant wishes for years to come.

It’s been inspiring to see so many people step up to support wish families, with more than 750,000 miles donated through the campaign. Through the Million Miles Match Campaign, Alaska Airlines has committed to matching up to one million donated miles, doubling the impact of community contributions.

A cause close to our hearts

For Rick’s, supporting Make-A-Wish Oregon is about more than sponsorship. It’s a mission that has touched members of our own team.

“Make-A-Wish is a big part of our hearts because we have a lot of people within our company who have benefited from Make-A-Wish,” said Taylor Stanley, VP of Marketing at Rick’s. “We’ve had multiple employees whose children have received wishes, so we understand firsthand the impact these experiences can have on families.”

That personal connection has helped shape Rick’s ongoing partnership with Make-A-Wish Oregon. Along with supporting fundraising efforts like the Million Miles Match Campaign, Rick’s is currently working on its fifth wish project for an Oregon family.

Helping wishes take flight

We’re proud to join Make-A-Wish Oregon, KGW, Alaska Airlines, and the many individuals who have contributed to this incredible effort. Every donated mile helps create opportunities for children and families to make memories they’ll never forget.
