Rick’s Custom Fencing & Decking is proud to announce the addition of “Deck Clips” to our WestStar Deck Composite line of products. The black clip comes with a stainless steel square head screw that is fastened to the joist and holds the decking securely in place. “Installation of the deck clip is a little more labor intensive, but well worth the finished product”, said Ben Fitzgerald, Crew General Manager. Use of the deck clip eliminates the need for screws going through the decking and leaves a much cleaner look. Normal screw down installation requires two screws installed at the end of each deck board. As the material expands and contracts, there is a potential for splits or cracks to occur around these screws. Use of the deck clips eliminates potential splitting or cracking of the deck ends common in all composite screw down installations. WestStar Composite Decking is available in Brown, Gray, & Chestnut. Made from 100% recycled materials
