Rick’s Port Orford Cedar Deck a Hit at Portland Home Show

vinyl pergolaRick’s staff could barely keep our booth from flying off the floor at the 63rd annual Portland Home & Garden Show, where attendees were so impressed with our Port Orford cedar deck and pergola display they kept offering to buy it on the spot!

Hundreds of people requested on-site project estimates at the show, which took place Feb. 24-28 at the Portland Expo Center, and others stopped by to discuss their spring and summer home improvement projects or just to thank us for the beautiful decks we built for them in the past. Based on the interest we received–and the unprecedented volume of visitors to our retail showrooms lately–it’s going to be a busy building season for Rick’s.

Decks and Pergolas Steal the Spotlight at Yard, Garden and Patio Show

Cedar Decking MaterialsIt looks like 2010 will be a big year for decks and pergolas, if the hundreds of people who flocked to our booth at the Yard, Garden and Patio Show are any indication.

Rick’s Custom Fencing & Decking made a big showing Friday through Sunday at the Oregon Convention Center, where we demonstrated the significant benefits a deck or fence can bring to any home. Our booth featured two of Rick’s flagship decks, including the Port Orford cedar deck, complete with a pergola. Port Orford cedar is one of the highest grade woods available for use in decking, and Rick’s is proud to be the only fencing and decking company that uses it in construction.
