Over the past several years, we’ve challenged Northwest homeowners to show us their ugliest fences, and you’ve pulled through with some real doozies. The year 2012 was no exception – we received an array of entries depicting horrible fences.
After carefully considering each submission, we settled on one that was truly the worst of the worst. Portland resident Paula Wilson’s fence is so dilapidated and overgrown with vines and moss that it simply begged to be named the winner of the 2012 Ugliest Fence Contest. Congratulations Paula! For being such a good sport and showing the world her tilting fence posts and missing boards, Paula will receive 100 feet of free fencing materials.
Rick’s Ugliest Fence Contest takes place every summer, and 2012 marked our 32nd anniversary. Founded in 1980, Rick’s Custom Fencing & Decking started out in Hillsboro, Ore. Since then, we’ve added several locations throughout Oregon and Washington. Rick’s is the top choice for fencing materials throughout the Northwest.
If your fence rivals Paula’s for the title of ugliest fence and you’re interested in replacing it with something a little more attractive, our website has several resources to help you with your project, like the free eBook A User’s Guide to Fencing & Decking Materials and our free fence materials calculator app for the iPhone.
